NEW PATIENTS

Your child should go to the dentist as soon as the first tooth emerges; usually before the first birthday. After that, you should visit the dentist twice a year for a cleaning.
The first visit for very young childrenit will be discreet- We encourage mom or dad to hold the child on their lap while we do a quick exam and clean the teeth.
Some parents like to take their children for a quick visit with an older sibling to allow their younger child to experience the dental office without pressure. You can practice sitting in the chair and see how fun our office is!
For older children, we focus on afun, interactive and educational experience.
They are going to:
-
Enjoy our waiting room, designed just for children and teenagers with many fun activities.
-
Meet Oliberto, who educates about proper oral hygiene
-
Our specialists will check the teeth and gums.
-
Take quick, easy digital x-rays, if necessary
-
Discover the televisions in our examination and treatment rooms
-
Be offered sunglasses if the exam light is too bright.
-
Learn to brush and floss effectively
-
Everything we offer as a children's dental office is aimed at making your child's experience totally positive. Our goal is for your child to ask, “When can we go back to the dentist?” At CASADENS, we want smiles to last more than 100 years.

YOUR SON'S FIRST DENTAL ADVENTURE
On your first visit to the dentist, you and your child will be received with all the love in the world by our staff and you will be given the FIRST TIME form to fill out to help you become familiar with our office.
When visiting us, you can always expect a positive and enjoyable experience for the whole family. During your child's first appointment, we will perform a preventive cleaning to promote a healthy smile. Your child's teeth and gums will then be carefully examined to make sure his or her oral health is on track and free of any dental problems. After preventive treatments, we will discuss your child's oral health and recommend a personalized treatment plan for the success of their smile.
The initial visit will provide you with a friendly and caring introduction to our DENTAL HOME, where lifelong relationships begin. The "dental house" is a space designed and decorated so that children do not fear their dentist.
The first visit should always be pleasant and positive and it is recommended that parents look for "a dental home" for their children when their first tooth appears or at the latest when they are one year old. But if you have an older child, it's never too late to take care of their teeth!
Our team never uses words that could cause unnecessary fear in children, such as "needle", "prick", "scary" or "pain". We also recommend that parents or family members not use them either. In the clinic we choose words according to the age of each child, pleasant and that do not frighten them.
The initial time spent with your child will include, but not be limited to, home care instruction, nutritional counseling, assessment of jaw growth and development, age-appropriate orthodontic evaluation, as well as a comprehensive clinical examination that will describe existing dental concerns.
We design an individualized treatment and care plan for your child, advising them on every aspect of their oral health.
Our goal is to gain as much trust as possible from your child and overcome apprehension.
For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated must remain in the receiving room with a supervising adult.
You are welcome to accompany your child at all times during their visit to our office.
If you have dental insurance, we invite you to bring the form and our staff will be happy to assist you.
In the event that your child has caries disease, the objective will be to first treat the risk factors, to achieve comprehensive oral health, and at the end, an individual preventive and hygiene program will be selected to maintain their oral health.
For most children, the experience is pleasant and even fun. All of us who work in the dental office like to work with children and know how to treat them, but you, as parents, play an important role in encouraging your child and encouraging a positive attitude in him/her. before the visit.

TIPS TO AVOID FEAR OF THE DENTIST
• The first time you can tell him that you are going to the dental doctor to make sure that all the teeth are there or show him an object related to the visit (toothbrush).
• Always anticipate what we are going to do, so that he or she understands it.
• Let him bring an object he likes (blanket, stroller, doll, stuffed animal, video game, toothbrush, headphones, book)
• It is very important that the companion transmits peace of mind to the child.
• Before the appointment, through dental games, stories, photographs about dental health and even brushing your teeth together, you can help your child behave appropriately at the dentist.
• Consultations in the morning are more advisable because children are more rested, relaxed and do not get sleepy.
• Try not to use words that instill fear such as anesthesia, pain, needle or prick.
