DENTAL SEALANTS

Even the most thorough brushing and flossing may not fully protect children's teeth from cavities. The molars of many children have small cracks and pits on the chewing surfaces—cracks too small for toothbrush bristles and deep enough for bacteria to accumulate.

Sealants can be applied to molars as they come in, providing a barrier against bacteria and reducing the likelihood of cavities in these crucial chewing teeth. The tooth-colored sealant is applied and then photopolymerized with a special light, a quick process that only takes a few minutes and does not require anesthesia.

Sealants can be applied to both baby teeth and permanent teeth as they emerge. It's an easy and effective way to reduce the risk of cavities and maintain a happy and healthy smile!
